Youth Engagement and Education Expert

Overview:
Today's young people will be the stewards of our planet in the years to come. In our Youth Engagement program we are actively working to engage, inspire and empower them to take action for our world, and provide them with the necessary knowledge and skills to build a more sustainable future.

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Youth Engagement and Education Expert to join our team and lead the proposal and development of youth engagement and innovative education projects. The job holder will also actively participate in raising financial and other resources, and creating strategic partnerships for the implementation of youth engagement initiatives.

What you will be doing:

  • Participate in the preparation of project proposals based on the strategic objectives and initiatives in the field of youth engagement and innovative education

  • Act as project manager of youth engagement and innovative education projects, ensuring all necessary processes related to project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting in line with the organisation’s standards and donor requirements

  • Map out new funding sources and proactively engage potential donors to support WWF-Bulgaria’s youth mobilization/innovative education work

  • Engage strategic partners and Responsible for engaging strategic partners and maintaining relationship and fluent communication within the partnerships (account management role)

  • Ensure interdisciplinary approach in the implementation of the youth engagement and innovative education work and ensures the synergy between youth engagement and conservation work

  • Participate in the elaboration and application of a Monitoring and Evaluation framework for the youth engagement project and activities

Who are we looking for:

  • University Degree in the humanities or natural sciences, Master degree is an advantage

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in similar position

  • Experience in project management and fundraising (project development, corporate engagement, individual fundraising)

  • Informal and innovative education experience

  • Experience in STEM education and startup knowledge and experience would be considered an advantage

  • Analytical, planning and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Coordination and organization skills

  • Ability to work in a team, positive attitude and resilience

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

  • Very good computer skills

  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly within a matrix organisational structure, engaging with colleagues from both national and regional teams to contribute to cohesive workflows

  • Ability to navigate and thrive in a matrix setting, leveraging cross-functional and cross-country collaboration to enhance overall team performance

  • Alignment and identification with the core values of WWF: Courage, Integrity, Respect and Collaboration and the relevant behaviors.
